What is Ambien?
Ambien is a sedative, also called a hypnotic. It affects chemicals in your brain that may become unbalanced and cause sleep problems (insomnia). Ambien is used for the short-term treatment of insomnia (difficulty falling or staying asleep). This medication causes relaxation to help you fall asleep. Ambien may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this medication guide.
Important information about Ambien
Ambien may cause a severe allergic reaction. Stop taking it and get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Ambien will make you fall asleep. Never take this medication during your normal waking hours, unless you have a full 7 to 8 hours to dedicate to sleeping. Some people using this medicine have engaged in activity such as driving, eating, or making phone calls and later having no memory of the activity. If this happens to you, stop taking Ambien and talk with your doctor about another treatment for your sleep disorder. Ambien can cause side effects that may impair your thinking or reactions. You may still feel sleepy the morning after taking the medication. Until you know how this medication will affect you during waking hours, be careful if you drive, operate machinery, pilot an airplane, or do anything that requires you to be awake and alert. Do not drink alcohol while you are taking this medication. It can increase some of the side effects of Ambien, including drowsiness. This medication may be habit-forming and should be used only by the person it was prescribed for. Ambien should never be shared with another person, especially someone who has a history of drug abuse or addiction. Keep the medication in a secure place where others cannot get to it. It is dangerous to try and purchase Ambien on the Internet or from vendors outside of the United States. Medications distributed from Internet sales may contain dangerous ingredients, or may not be distributed by a licensed pharmacy. Samples of this medication purchased on the Internet have been found to contain haloperidol (Haldol), a potent antipsychotic drug with dangerous side effects. Drug uses
Ambien (Stilnox, Zolpidem) is in a class of drugs called sedative/hypnotics or sleep medicines. Stilnox (the brandname used for Ambien outside the US) affects chemicals in your brain that may become unbalanced and cause insomnia. Ambien (Stilnox, Zolpidem) induces sleep and causes relaxation. It is used to treat sleep disorders such as trouble falling asleep, waking up many times during the night, or waking up too early in the morning. Ambien sleeping pill (Stilnox, Zolpidem) is for short-term use only - usually 7 to 10 days. Longer-term use must be monitored closely by a doctor.
Stilnox® is available in more than 90 countries, including the United States where it is marketed under the name Ambien. This sleep medicine was launched in Japan, in December 2000, under the name Myslee. It is already the second-ranking product on the Japanese hypnotics market in terms of sales.
Precautions
Use caution when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities. This sleep medicine will cause drowsiness and may cause dizziness. If you experience drowsiness or dizziness, avoid these activities. Stilnox should be taken just before bedtime. You may experience some carryover effects the next day. Do not drink alcohol while taking Ambien sleeping pill. Alcohol will increase drowsiness and may increase dizziness while you are taking this drug, which could be dangerous. Avoid other sedatives, sleeping pills, and tranquilizers, including over-the-counter preparations. They should not be used while you are taking Ambien sleeping pill unless your doctor directs otherwise.
Side Effects
If you experience any of the following serious side effects, stop taking Ambien (Stilnox, Zolpidem) sleep medicine and seek emergency medical attention: · an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, face, or tongue; hives); or · hallucinations, abnormal behavior, or severe confusion.
Missed Dose
Since Stilnox - Ambien is usually taken only if you need it to help you sleep, missing a dose will not cause any problems. Take the missed dose only if you can be sure that you will get 7 or 8 full hours of sleep after the dose. If you do not sleep for 7. Order ambien sleeping pill without prior prescription in our online pharmacy.
